Cain and April started in Denver as a singer-songwriter duo in April 2008. After recording their first full-length album, they added "the Original Sinners," Sundog Stan Grande on drums and Jay Ryan on bass. The band has been playing venues ranging from Dazzle Jazz to the Little Bear Saloon since April 2009. In addition to their originals, Cain and April with the Original Sinners play covers ranging from Gram Parsons to Nirvana, mirroring their eclectic influences. The songlist continues to expand.

Mark Kane and April Nicholle formed the duo in April of 2008, after playing together for short sets at Cricket on the Hill and the Lion's Lair in Denver. The first rehearsal lasted for hours, running through dozens of songs, both originals and covers. The interaction of voices and guitars was striking from the first. Their travels, their experiences, and the wide skies of the high plains of America all find their way into the music and lyrics of Cain and April.
